Tim's work mainly encompasses the national and international carriage of goods by road, warehousekeeping, and the carriage of goods by sea, air and rail, related insurance matters and terms and conditions of business. His contentious work regularly involves litigation in the English High Court and County Courts, and Arbitration, although he also has considerable experience of resolving disputes through negotiation and mediation.
For several years, Tim has been recognised as a leader in the field of road transport law by Chamber's Guide to the Legal Profession and in Legal Business publications.
He works for a broad range of British and overseas cargo and transit liability insurers, hauliers, forwarders, parcel carriers and removal companies. He lectures regularly to clients and insurance associations on cargo and transit related issues.
Tim has been instructed in many high profile CMR cases, including National Semiconductor v UPS, Gefco v Mason and Lacey's Footwear v Bowler International.
Tim was the only English lawyer to speak at the First International Cargo Recovery Conference in New York during June 2008.
Tim is a very keen golfer and music enthusiast, also enjoying playing squash and reading crime fiction.
